In September 2009 the Ministry of Justice announced the introduction of reforms to streamline the compensation system for low cost Road Traffic Accident PERSONAL INJURY CLAIMS.

The new system will help to establish faster agreement on liability and payment of low cost Road Traffic Accident INJURY CLAIMS between £1,000 and £10,000.

Under the new regulations Insurers will now have only 15 days to accept or deny liability. So the new system will streamline the flow of information on both liability and the compensation sum involved.

This should help to reduce operational costs and help the insurer and compensator to agree settlement more quickly with more opportunity for the claimant to receive the best possible compensation sum as general awards should be enhanced.
